Gush turned 3 years old. This is a sweet child, the smallest of 3 sons in the family. He does not go to kindergarten because there were no new admissions in the kindergartens due to the corona pandemic and many as well as Gush are on the waiting list. If everything normalizes, he will be allowed to start from September 2021. Gush is a bright, energetic child with expressive, beautiful eyes. He’s doing well. Gush likes to play with toy cars, dreams of a large collection of toy cars. Gush is very fond of cats, he feeds them and likes to run after them. According to his parents, he started walking and talking very early. Most of all he is attached to his father and wants to be similar to him, wear military uniform and stand on the border.
Gush comes from a socially disadvantaged family who lives in a mountain village 125 km from the capital, Yerevan, and consists of 7 people. Both of Gush’s parents had no formal job training. The father of the family is at the post as a border soldier. His monthly wage is the entire family income. He also participated in the war for Artsakh in September 2020 and survived with miracles. Since he has a job, they don’t get any social assistance. Gush’s parents are both young, but not in good health. The father suffers from joint pain and the mother from hypertension. The aunt and grandma live with them. The grandmother is not yet ready for retirement, the aunt is a first-degree invalid, she suffers from cerebral movement disorder and is confined to bed. Gush’s brothers are both older than him, they both go to school. The boys help the mother everywhere and get along well. The family mostly lives off some agriculture, they don’t keep any cattle. They plant potatoes and beans, which grows best in the harsh climate. The family lives in a very old house, they only have 2 bedrooms, one for Gush, his brothers and parents and the other for grandma and aunt. There is no bathroom or toilet in the house. They’re kind of built in a corner outside.
Gush and his family depend on our help, which is possible with a sponsorship. They always have to save and forego a lot in order to be able to get the bare essentials in their extensive household. Gush needs warm clothes and food full of vitamins. We would like to include him in our sponsorship program and thereby ease his parents’ worries. As a sponsored child, he would receive an extensive grocery package every month, including medical and dental help if necessary, which could enable him to have a more carefree childhood. The parents could save on food costs, which would be valuable and incredibly important to them. Thank you in advance for your support and willingness to donate!
