Christmas Campaign

A girl and two boys are sitting on a sofa. Toys, shoes, and blankets are visible on the table in front of them.

In Armenia and Romania, winters are considerably colder than in our latitudes. And it’s not guaranteed that people have the means to live comfortably in a warm home. Therefore, together with you, we want to support as many people as possible and enable them to have a more carefree winter.

Thank you!

A woman, a girl, and a boy are standing by a stove. The children are placing potato slices on top.

Last year we introduced you to the Harutyunyan family. They received warm winter clothing, sturdy shoes, blankets, and heating fuel to ensure they could safely get through the frosty nights. They also received potatoes, oil, flour, and other basic foodstuffs to keep them well-supplied for the coming weeks. The children received sweets, toys, and art supplies, which they were especially delighted with.

Siblings Ruzanna (9) and Valeri (7) could hardly contain their joy. Together with their little brother Monte (2), they beamed from ear to ear.

Thanks to your support, the Harutyunyan family was provided with everything they needed to get through the winter healthy, warm and strong.

On behalf of the family and our entire team, we extend our heartfelt thanks to all donors. You have not only given clothing and food, but brought warmth, dignity, and hope to a home where it was desperately needed.

Hello, I’m Valeri.

And I am Ruzanna. I am 9 years old, Valeri is 7. We also have our little brother Monte, he is 2. I really want to be a painter. Valeri doesn’t know what he wants to be yet. We are still small, but we understand the world a little; we know what’s going on around us. That’s why every year we write to Santa Claus with our wish that no child should live in hardship. And we wish for peace. We want to say thank you; thanks to you, there is a celebration in our house today. We received many, many presents today: food, sweets, winter clothes, shoes, warm blankets, lots of different toys, and we were very happy.

We send a big kiss and many warm greetings from the village of Aygut in Armenia.

With love, Ruzanna and the Harutyunyan family

More Families need Help

A middle-aged man and woman, along with a young woman, are standing in front of a dilapidated house. The older woman is carrying a small girl, and a small boy is standing in front of the young woman.

In the small village of Aygut lives the Bayanduryan family, who, despite devastating blows of fate, continue to face each day with dignity and love. Father Arshak (63) fought in the war between Armenia and Azerbaijan in 1993. He lost a hand and an eye. His wife Emma (62) stands by him with tireless care.

Their son Levon (23) was severely wounded in the war in 2020. The head injury prevents him from doing physically demanding work. Nevertheless, he doesn’t give up: day after day, he collects scrap wood in the forest to bring at least a little warmth into the house. His wife Ani (21) lovingly cares for their two children, Arshak (4) and Emma (1).

The family lives in poverty. The house is dilapidated, the walls cold, the winter relentless. The children wear clothes given to them by neighbours and relatives, and their supplies often run short. Despite this, they smile – a smile that shows hope is stronger than hardship.

We would like to provide this and other families with everything they need to get through the winter healthy. The children should be given warm jackets and shoes so that they can attend school regularly even in the cold season.

Please help us to support as many families as possible in this way!

The Christmas Campaign for Casa Ray

Two young girls sit next to a Christmas tree on the sofa and smile at the camera.

Another year has passed, and 2025 is almost over. Looking back, we can only thank God for the strength He has given us. He truly does not place any burdens on us that we cannot bear, yet at the same time, we are amazed at how much we can endure. Looking back on 2025, we could describe it in a few words: challenges, austerity measures, perseverance.

Challenges arise because the children we care for, and those we have recently taken in, are facing increasingly difficult problems such as depression, developmental delays, suicidal thoughts, anxiety, puberty crises, chronic illnesses, a problematic school environment, ADHD, and others. When half the children experience such problems simultaneously, it becomes truly challenging.

Austerity measures were necessary because everything became more expensive again: taxes were increased by 70%, electricity by 150%, groceries by 20%, the VAT from 19% to 21%, and so on. Inevitably, we fell into a budget deficit. Unfortunately, we had to cut back on some of the privileges we used to be able to offer the children, and saving became an obligation, not an option.

Perseverance, because we don’t give up and keep going. We know that the work we do honours God, and our goal is to save lives and lead people to Christ. However difficult it may seem at the moment, we know that nothing is left to chance and that everything works together for the good of those who love God.

The Team of Casa Ray

Please help, so that the children at Casa Ray can spend a contemplative Christmas in warm rooms, with good food and a small present for each child. Thank you for your support!
